U.S. WAR MACHINE vol. 2 #11

(January 2002) "Book 1: Chapter 11." Story: Chuck Austen. Art: Chuck Austen, Wild and Wooly Press and NIC Entertainment. Layout: Victor Lopez. Associate Producer: Jeremy Lambros.

Parnell's butt is saved by Nathan, while Rhodey makes his way to the AIM head-honcho (all the while Darkhawk is slicing up a dozen or so AIM flunkies!). Dum Dum Dugan rescues some victims of the AIM toxin, too. When Rhodes at last confronts the head AIM, he brings out Parnell's wife as a hostage and demands he be let go...but then MODOK busts in, gives Darkhawk his opening, and the stand-off is "resolved!" All appears kosher -- until Dr. Doom pops in!!

Hube's Recomm.: USWM patches!

TJ's Response: This is a great ish, as it moves the story along very well. The conversation between Rhodes and the AIM 'head' is very well done, and the action is top-notch! One thing that leaves one wanting is Rhodes not challenging the leader about his lack of purity. History has given us this type of hypocrisy numerous times, but Rhodes doesn't even comment about it.

TJ's Recommendation: 3 and 1/2 USWM patches!
