TOS #47 "Iron Man Battles the Melter!"

The military tanks begin to fall apart. The iron is melted. Tony Stark is called in and is knocked out by the Melter. His backstory is told. Bruno Horgan a former competitor to Tony Stark, who discovered Horgan was using inferior parts. This cost Horgan government contracts. Horgan stumbled upon a mistake with his devices that began melting iron. When he studied it, he was able to reproduce it into a portable chest beam. Happy finds Tony Stark and gets him to his office where he can recharge his chest plate in private. After Tony recharges, he suits up as Iron Man to go after the Melter who is destroying his power plants. Iron Man stops the attack on the power plants but has his left arm armor melted off exposing his arm. Iron Man takes to the sky and uses magnets to split a steam pipe. The Melter escapes. Tony has to answer to Washington for the defective tanks. The Melter draws Iron Man back to the plant. Iron Man is carrying an ore and the Melter melts it over him. Now Iron Man is immune to the Melter. He turns to melt a boulder over Happy and Pepper. Iron Man knocks it away. The Melter melts the floor. Iron Man flies. The Melter escapes. Iron Man changed his suit to be coated with Aluminum.
