TOS 55 "No one escapes the Mandarin!"

Iron Man is trapped by the Mandarin. Iron Man is tied in cables wrapped around his armor. He tells the Mandarin Tony Stark has probably found the anti-missile missiles. The Mandarin had forgot about Stark and goes away to look for him. Once charged, Iron Man breaks free of the steel cables and follows the Mandarin with silent jet mode. He finds where the missiles are being held and finds that a ray is drawing them to the castle. Iron Man flies and diverts the missile from being taken. As Iron Man is captured in the beam, he is drawn through a window and dislodges a piece of stone and hurls it at the ray's source destroying it. Mandarin fires a disintegration ray from his pinky ring. Iron Man barely escapes and finds a way to send the missiles back, hitching a ride. The Mandarin vows revenge! Meanwhile back home Happy is running the factory and things don't look so good. Then Tony Stark arrives to set things in order.
This issue has a featurette that tells about Iron Man's enemies and a behind the scenes look at the briefcase and cutaway armor showing what's inside and how things work. Pods are shown here for spare radio parts but never were actually used in the main comic until the Pre-classic armor. Then the last page is a pinup of Pepper at the beach with Happy taking pictures.
