Iron Man returns to the office to find Pepper who is heartbroken that Happy has left. She blames Iron Man for not letting Happy test the sub which he reminds her that it exploded. Iron Man gets dizzy and has to go recharge. Pepper thinks he is walking off again because she got too close to the truth and wants Tony to fire Iron Man. Happy gets a flight to Shannon, Ireland. Meanwhile we see Count Nefaria, the ex-leader of the Maggia, the international crime ring. He is in an abandoned Nazi bunker where he made a dream machine. His first target, Iron Man! The Unicorn attacks Iron Man and then the Crimson Dynamo attacks on a bridge. Iron Man is confused but easily defeats then, beginning to realize it is a dream and awakes. Pepper has received flowers and a good-bye note from Happy in Ireland. Iron Man takes off to get him back, hitching a ride on a jet. Iron Man gets to Ireland and finds Happy at his grandfather's farm. Happy walks out on him. Iron Man begins to be attacked again by Crimson Dynamo and then Jack Frost, then by Gargantus. Iron Man falls and catches a ledge, the the Melter strikes. Iron Man swing up and knocks out the Melter only to be attacked by the Black Knight. He begins to pit one enemy against another. He defeats them all. The machine is put under too much strain and explodes leaving the Count down and out, even though Iron Man never suspected who set this up. Pepper calls Happy and gets him to come back home.
