Iron Man is testing for the military in Vietnam a new type of bullet for the U.S. soldiers, Stark's tracer shells that track their opponent. Iron Man could not outmaneuver them. Each one hit perfectly. The Colonel wants to see Iron Man when he lands. The Colonel show Iron Man, Hill 38, that is a castle on a fortified mountain. A Communist, known as Half Face, a deadly genius is creating weapons that Iron Man needs to destroy. At first, Iron Man thinks this might be the Mandarin but recognizes that the Mandarin hates the Communists as much as he hates Iron Man. No, this is a new threat. A U.S. helicopter gets Iron Man part of the way until they are spotted and the copter has to return. Iron Man flies out and is on his own. The bullets bouncing off the armor. Iron Man's built in sensors pick up someone within the jungle. They shoot at Iron Man and he shakes them out of the tree. Iron Man tries to stay hidden the rest of the way to the castle. But, Half-Face has seen him with his own sensors. He has been working on a weapon that he needs to bring to life and begins charging it with enough power to crush a dozen men. Half-Face then fires a solar energy weapon - a destructo ray! Blasting just beside Iron Man, he narrowly escapes using his jet power. Iron Man flies right into the castle steel walls busting through. Guards fire upon him, but repulsor rays take care of them. Iron Man makes his way to the inner court when giant metal dogs attack. Their steel teeth clamp down on the armor. Iron Man makes short work of them. This allows Half-Face to finish his creation!
