Iron Man was shot down by the Living Laser last issue and now is strung up by the East Germany government. His hands are taped up into a fist with aviation tape keeping him from activating his repulsors. Arthur Parks was approached by the East Germans to power their satellites and at the same time save his life. Iron Man heats the super tape and frees his hands. He gets free and troops and Living Laser attack. Living Laser disappears, but Iron Man can track him and fights back. Laser puts a beam right through the armor and shoulder of Tony Stark. LL needs to get into the siphoning chamber before he explodes. Iron Man throws a side pod after being set on overload. It prevents the siphoning process. Living Laser is about to explode, and Iron Man throws him out of the mountain complex where he explodes like fireworks. Tony heads home. Him and Beth talk. Beth has to stay and care for her newly revealed husband. Tony and Beth part, which is sad for both of them.
