The Controller returns! The Controller wants Tony Stark to build him a new helmet with miniaturized circuits to absorb the minds of others. The cover looks more like the Melter. Tony's first love, Meredith McCall. He remembers the forbidden love when they were 17. Her father and Tony's father forbade them seeing each other. Jasper Sitwell, agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., comes to get the Controller but provides a distraction long enough for Tony Stark to get away and become Iron Man. Iron Man attacks the Controller. Tony Stark did make some faulty connections in the new helmet, and it could not take the strain of a battle with Iron Man!
