It starts with an explosion at Stark International. Iron Man emerges and confirms that it is sabotage. Without his armor, Tony would not have survived. He removes his armor and takes a call. It seems that a patent was filed 2 months before Tony's for the aerospace designs. Then, a sudden crash on the bridge. Tony suits up and goes. Iron Man is hit by the Melter and puts out his thermocouple. He is hit so many times, the armor begins to melt and fuses his legs together. He plunges into NY bay and uses the polarization effect to bring the armor into the chest plate and leave it all at the bottom. A boat finds Tony in the bay without clothes and rescues him. Tony sends his gold bulky Model I, Mark III armor. As Melter blasts away, as the real Iron Man is able to get close enough to wreck the Melter's equipment on his suit and defeat him.
