Iron Man is rescuing people from the volcanic destruction caused by Firebrand from last issue. Ironb Man is talking to Pepper online when a transmission comes in and tells the story of the new Firebrand, Richard L. Dennison, who was part of a violent environmentalist group that bombed an alternative research project. The destruction kills all but Dennison and was hospitalized. The Flaming Sword further mutated his body and fitted him with a control harness. He became their field commander. He then attacks Iron Man. Iron Man reconfigures the harness and takes him back to the volcano. Where he can create new ground underneath all that heat.
