This special one shot explored Tony's late years. It has Tony Stark married to Senator Bethany Cabe and transferring the new Iron Man armor to Nick Travis, a hand picked candidate brilliant and honest who seeks to do right and shows courage when at times Tony doesn't want to let go.
Tony's briefcase is the armor and it is liquid metal that adapts to the situation. He takes it to emergencies and goes supersonic, then to a hydro armor, then to Hulk Buster armor. Then is attacked by the Ultra-Dynamo. Tony escapes and works on his Space Elevator and his choosing a new head technologist for his company. And, hopes that if trained Nick Travis will also take on the role of Iron Man in a new armor. Then when activating the Space Elevator, the Ultra-Dynamo attacks again. This time Nick runs away and Tony thinks his choice was a mistake. Tony is trapped and prepares for his own destruction. Then, the new Iron Man (Nick Travis) comes in and defeats the Ultra-Dynamo making crucial changes to the armor. Tony knows this is the right time to end things and pass the torch to the new Iron Man!
